Hey there! I know it's been a little while since I've been on here. Life has been happening at such a rapid pace, some things have just taken the backseat and this blog being one of them. Today was my first FULL day off I've had in months. Like, I've done NOTHING and it has been great. I was on Facebook earlier and was reminded by something I saw on my feed that today was D-Day. I started reading up on it a little more and decided to go through my pictures from our visit to Normandy when we went to France last year. I actually never got around to post these pictures, so I decided that today's the day. This trip to Normandy was so special and very emotional. That is all my husband talked about when we were planning our trip. We decided to rent a car for the day and drive the 3 hours each way. We thought it was our duty to pay respect to all the fallen heroes from WWII. Being there and seeing the beach and trying to imagine everything still makes me emotional. I am so thankful for the bravery of those men and women and their families. Omaha Beach in Normandy looked a whole lot different in June 6, 1944. I am truly grateful for our soldiers' sacrifice and courage. If you ever get the chance to go to Paris, I would strongly suggest to take the trip to Normandy. The ride is peaceful and beautiful. It's totally worth it…you will not regret it. In the meantime, take a look at our pics…enjoy! xo
